Objective:

This online camp lasts 4 weeks and introduces students to foundational coding concepts through Minecraft Education, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills in an engaging, interactive environment.

Topics Covered:

• Understanding Coding Concepts

  • Students are introduced to the basic concept of coding.

• Using Microsoft MakeCode with Minecraft: Education Edition

  • Students learn how to use block-based code via the MakeCode editor.

• Developing Problem-Solving Skills

  • They learn there are multiple coding solutions to each task.

  • Students apply trial-and-error and logic to complete challenges.

Outcome:

By the end of this course, students will grasp fundamental coding concepts and apply them to create interactive projects in Minecraft. They will develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and creativity, gaining confidence to explore more advanced programming concepts in future courses.
