Description

Objective:

Students will learn the fundamentals of coding by using Microsoft MakeCode to program their Agent in Minecraft: Education Edition. Through interactive challenges, they will develop problem-solving skills as they code the Agent to move, destroy, and build within the game world.

Topics Covered:

• What coding is and how to give instructions using code.

• How to use Microsoft MakeCode to program actions in Minecraft.

• How to control the Agent to move, destroy, and build using code.

• Basic IT skills: navigating Minecraft: Education Edition and using the MakeCode editor.

• Problem-solving and logical thinking through coding challenges.

Outcome:

By the end of the course, students will be able to use block-based coding in MakeCode to control the Agent in Minecraft, completing tasks such as movement, destruction, and building. They will demonstrate a basic understanding of coding concepts, logical thinking, and how to apply code to solve problems in a digital environment.
